Being sick and messin' around with old tech!

Hai hai hai!!! Welcome back to my blog! Where I ramble a lot!

 

            hai guys! i have not blogged in a hot minute, so i think i should catch everyone up to score! sooo long story actually, i got an older camera recently [was actually my parent's camera, back when we didn't have good phone cameras. it was to mostly take family photos!] i bought it a new battery pack and charger and everything, it really was giving me issues tbh... X_x giving me a run for my money, literally! so i realized the issue recently, is the camera needs more than half battery to work lol [of these, very expensive, batteries specifically for this dumb camera.] so im glad i figured it out, hopefully!!! 

 

            i got sick this week [my whole family did actually x-x like wtf.] and so ive just been lazing around doing nothing much. i did add more music to my mp3 player though! a lot of more classic emo and scene songs, some crunk, some 2010s EDM that i found from one of those "how i do my everyday scene makeup" vids on youtube. did i mention i fucking LOVE 2010s EDM? it has been one of my favorite genres, like it is UP there on my list!

          ANYWAYS, i did some makeup yesterday, and once i get the rest of pictures off my camera i will put them here!! for now here is this edit...ehehee... [i was definitely trying something new...i guess...]

i have been listening to a lot of crunk and emo music in general. i dunno! i just find myself liking it more recently :] send me any music recommendations yall have btw! id be so happy to have more to download and listen to on loop! [currently my playlist is only about 30-ish songs and id like to add to it!]

Fandom? Community? What happened to it?

Hi everypony! Today I had a pretty interesting couple thoughts! What has happened to fandom? 

When I was a kid, I remember being online and seeing all my favorite fandoms full of interactive community. It was nice, of course not without its own dramas and callout posts as any fandom has.
People would draw fanart, write stories and fanfic, and roleplay in forums. It felt more like a family to me. 

When I was 12, I found out about Undertale. Before that, I had already been very interested in indie games. (Like FNAF, which I still love to this day.) And since growing up slightly troubled, I found a lot of my friends at the time through communities. All of us all interested in the same thing, the characters, the story. Undertale truly made me a different person, it changed a lot for me when it came out! My sibling showed me gameplays of it in the same amount of excitement at the time. Nothing could beat that feeling of community truthfully. Nothing like a bunch of kids raving about a few skeleton characters. Our little group was full of weird kids, it was like a little haven for what little time it existed.

Fandom has changed, perhaps in my opinion, not for the best. 

Community feels scarce, and finding similar fans to interact with has become difficult. 

You could say, its just how the internet has changed, or society, or whatever. It could be a mix of those things. But the truth is clear...

Fandom is detached, from what once was community and what felt like family. Now feels like when you're forced to talk to your bully from your 5th grade math class years later. 

It honestly feels like a crude shell of what it used to be. What happened to the awful cosplays and cringe roleplays? What happened to the inside jokes that only you'd understand if you were on tumblr? 
It's all a ghost. And maybe it is dramatic to say that, I know. But you can't blame me!

We were cringe, but happy, but free. I used to have so much fun online, and now I feel like everything is too boring or the same each time. Nothing feels original. I remember watching undertale con vlogs in like 2016 and thinking, "Wow...I can't wait until I can go to conventions too!" But what I didn't know is, time doesn't stop and stand still.
Conventions lack the character it truly needs now. Sometimes I catch myself wanting to go to a con, but stopping and having to remind myself. That no, it won't be like the cons I used to watch on YT. 

I don't think this sorta thing has only effected fandom either, but art and creativity as a whole. And I don't know what or why.

Cosplay can't be a hobby for people anymore apparently, art always has to be monetized or you're apparently doing something wrong. No room for mistakes or growth, because you're expected to be a crazy good artist right off the bat, or give up if you aren't. You need to know how to do anatomy right out the womb, or your art is bad. To have to make the best most accurate cosplay, when taking creative liberty is so much more fun. Being a beginner is not something you can skip. 

The point to create and withhold is not to rush, or to create the best possible thing. Its to experience all it has to offer. Like the times I have done sewing projects as a kid and not understanding how to cleanly sew seams. I look back at those times and go, "Huh, I sew better now." Because I took time over, "I need to get this done efficiently." There really is no reason to rush.

There is much love in making something badly but having fun, than to make something good and not having any fun while doing it. 
If anyone reads this, it is truly no fun listening to social pressures about how you should create. Just do shit and have fun while doing it. That is all that matters.

We're all weird out here, don't be afraid to shine that weirdness because I'll let you in on a little secret...

Parties?! Its almost halloween! :D

 Woah!!! Hai yall! A blog post after oh so long... 

its been a while! 

i have been not busy, but sorta busy. does that count lol?

but to catch everybody up, ive been doing stuff!

i got a new desk, a new bed, basically, my room looks like a whole new place! O.O

sleeping in this thing is weird, i went from a tiny twin bed to a full! double the width! 

wowza!!!!

 but i went to a party the other day!!!!

firstly, i went with my good friend! i was dressed up as cupid, and they were a monster high character! 

it was fun getting ready for it, we literally sparkled out our outfits. xD

but the party was a total blow to be honest... x_x

it was a local one so i expected this sorta, but it was full of people way older than us! (was an adult party- but damn! i was at least expecting some being under 30!)

alas...we were the only adults under 30 there. 

then we were being oogled at by older men. seriously nasty.

the food there was okay enough! we started with chicken tenders, and they were yum after not really eating lunch or anything all day.

had some fried food (a lot of it actually) and im not quite sure what half of it was but it tasted okay xD???

we stayed NOT even 3 hours and went home XDDD!!!! 

like a 5/10, boring for the amount of time we were there, mixed with the gawking old men, the weirdos, the mildly overstimulating fog machine, and the music of which we knew like 4 songs out of the 50 that were played. 

all made me and my friend think,

me: "uh... O-O yeah lets go home?" 

friend: "yeah xD was thinking that too..." 

then we went home! tore off all the costume! wiped the glitter off our faces (didnt come off LMAO)

and sat down to watch paranormal videos, and then slept xD

anywho! what are yall doing this halloween? 

im doing basically nothing! i am not very excited this year, and our family party is at the beginning of november because of work times!

today i will be shipping my laptop in the mail to get it fixed! [fingers crossed it goes well!]

blehh... i am pretty tired of thinking about it though!

today i have not really been up to much! 

mostly just played games with a friend again before i cant when my laptop is gone..

but i also cleaned a tad! (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

my room has been always messy, and it takes me forever to clean each time

i did manage! i am suddenly nostalgic tho!

i just watched the first inuyasha movie!!! 

and was it good? mostly! kind of surprising!

i was expecting to not like it all considering...（ꐦ𝅒_𝅒)

but i did like it quite a bit! 

the style of each movie kind of changes a lot, and i wasnt a super fan of some of that...

but it was good enough

will i watch the rest of the 2 or 3? probably not (ಠ_ಠ)

it just isnt worth it i think........xD

hai yall! what is this blog post today you ask? well i am going to mai first con this month (◕◡◕)

i have never been to a con before actually! which got me nervy about packing things. . .

oh! and im cosplaying a little thing with my friends! [i have no idea what im doing either....... but its okay! itll be a crummy cosplay haphazardly put together but it will be fun!]

so here's my list of stuffs!

★ refillable water bottle [they dont allow food or other drinks than water]

★ my mobility aids! [knee braces, wrist brace, cane, etc.]

★ our tickets and money!

★ phone, charger, and noise canceling headphones

★ communication cards [for when it gets too loud to talk outloud]

★ a change of clothes and shoes [cosplay can get uncomfy sometimes!]

★ hand held fan [its so hot these months...]

★ makeup and baby wipes [two words, face paint]

and whatever else i can think of to need (^-^)ゝ

i am hoping it goes well! i wont have my laptop to make posts at some point for idk how long x.x 

but its to fix a big issue with it! so hopefully it wont be in the shop for long! [i have to mail it....(T - T)]

recently has been very rough on me, mentally and physically.

my health has been wack, and my anxiety makes me feel like im dying at any moment ༼ ಥ﹏لಥ ༽ ᵘgᵍʰ

truly a work of art on whoever is in charge of my life! [thanks whatever god thing doohicky!]

my throat is sore...

anyways! i have yet to take a shower that is very needed, i feel gross

the thing people dont expect when youre disabled and fatigued all the time is that showering and hygiene is so difficult you have to save up energy for it over a course of weeks.

today i have played roblox and taken a nap after eating that delicious awesome sandwich...

sorry talking about the sandwich once again!

silly moments where i realize i am ageing! lettuce? i like that stuff? wow. crazy literally!

i love spinach, side note.

feeling like an old person eating leafy greens...that or a hamster...or a turtle with like those turtle asmr videos where they eat crunchy lettuce. that is me

i havent done much art recently, at least thats what i think.

its been a rough patch for that too! finding balance in what i enjoy doing!

i think that is all for now, i dont write much now that i have too much time to lay around in pain sorry!

Shugo Chara Anime Review!✧˖°

 hallo again!!! first of a long time!

i recently finished shugo chara! [and shugo chara doki! not party! yet but most of the story]

is it as good as i thought? not really </3

i thought maybe the ending would have been better but it ended very quick! the rest of the story was okay, it was drawn out a bunch so i was expecting a big ending! 

but it ended up being a short boring ending with loose ends!!!!!!!! (ᗒᗣᗕ)

its okay though because now i will rate it based on parts!

story~ 3/5 ☆! it was good, but definitely needed more work! i liked some of the conflict aspects but i would have really wanted more!!!

world building~ 4/5 ☆! i loved the idea of every kid having a hearts egg!!! that concept was super cool, i just wish they expanded on it more!!! i would have died to see some of that lore be worked on more into being a lot more important than they originally made it out to be though... youre fighting to turn x eggs back to their owners! isnt that super important?! why is it so lack luster! hrm...possibly because this is just a kids show hehe (´∀｀；)

characters~ 3/5 ☆! i loved some of the character designs! though, honest to honest here, i would have loved to see more! we have such a large main character cast, shouldnt we have different outfits? more variety?! ୧(๑•̀ᗝ•́)૭ come on buster! we needed more character variety seriously!!! all the main characters dont change much through out, and i would have been so invested if we had some character development! 

overall 3/5 stars ☆

anywho! thats all my review of it! very short but filling! its similar to when you eat a lot of junk food and still feel hungry blehhh (￣﹃￣)

Glitter Hightops:

MY FAVVV!!! I love my glitter hightops <3 Theyre from walmart or something like that x_x But theyre so good
Even though the glitter is a lil uncomfy to rub against sometimes...the glitter DOESNT rub off at all!!! Which is why I love them so much! xD Theyve not been too damaged from wearing them so often for years. Still in good shape! So I highly recommend cheap hightops!!!

Gloomy Bear/Monster Logo Hand Painted VANS:

I painted these myself!!! I had a sun-bleached pair of old VANS lying outside...(I forgot about them outside for like half a year.) But I decided to paint them and BOOM! Perfect scenekid shoes. I once got popular over my painted bag and these! <3 

Glitter Boots with a Heel:

My mom got these for me off somewhere...I dont remember where X_X sorry. These are awful to walk in but make me feel like such a diva!! XD Theyre comfy to wear too, but their glitter stickers are coming off the shoe. They were expensive too X_X ugh why boots why...

Red Dress Shoes: 

These are my favorite fancy shoes to wear! Theyre a lil small now...but theyre super shiny and pretty! They have a lil buckle on the tops and I wore my frilly lolita socks with em! x3 I dont get to wear these often, but they make me feel supa handsome!!! <3
